Why did you get into real estate?
Growing up, my parents always dragged me to a million open houses, showings, and random drives to see homes that were in need of some TLC. What first was a chore, soon became so exciting as I saw their projects come to life in front of my eyes. At a young age I started learning how to spot potential and what a home could really become with a bit of love and a lot of patience. My family taught me the value of turning a house into a home. I believe that our environment has a massive impact on who we are and how we live our lives. I got into real estate to help others find, build and create their perfect environment.

From a business perspective, I chose real estate because as a young woman in business, I wanted to start my own company, set my own hours, and have my income directly reflect my hard work. Formerly in digital marketing and business development, I wanted to put my skills to the test and build a brand that I’m proud to be part of, and my clients are proud to work with.

What do I love about Real Estate?
What I love about real estate is how consistent and reliable it is, while still constantly surprising me! Property and land are some of the most sound investments a person can make in their life, and I want to help younger generations tap into that great market. When I say it surprises me, it’s because there is never a dull moment, other than the paperwork, that’s a bit of a dull moment. Whether it be design innovation, emerging areas, or just a funky house, there is always something to keep me on my toes as I work. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning, and real estate is an ever-changing industry. We’re kind of the perfect match.

What advice do you have for homebuyers?
Know what you want. Figure out your non-negotiables, and utilize every resource given to you! So many buyers go without a Realtor for far too long into the buying process because they don’t know that it’s a free service for them. We help with area selection, the property hunt, mortgage approvals, and everything else up until moving day. Start with a mortgage qualification to know your budget and stick to it. Real estate can seem stressful, intimidating, and overwhelming. My mission is to help young people realize that it can be attainable, realistic, and super fun!

Why do you think a branding session is so important?
I am a major believer in a clear brand. If you don’t know what you’re selling, how is anyone supposed to buy? Humans are incredibly visual creatures and so much can be captured in an image. In the era of social media and having so much of our lives being online, our first impression is oftentimes a photo on a screen. That photo needs to count. Having a cohesive brand image, message, and feed, comes down largely to content. If you can’t offer quality, valuable content to your audience, you fall behind in the modern marketplace.
I chose Kate for my branding photography because as a fellow female entrepreneur, she is so understanding of my vision! So much of our jobs are making our clients feel comfortable and confident, I knew that she could capture who I am and what I do better than anyone else.
